GET CERTIFIED WITH BHARAT FOOD CHECK
Bharat Food Check Certification is designed for brands that want to demonstrate honesty, compliance, and transparency through independent, third-party testing.
We do not rely on brand-provided samples.
We do not allow influence over testing or results.
We communicate results clearly so consumers can make informed choices.
- WHAT “CERTIFIED BY BHARAT FOOD CHECK” MEANS
When a product engages with Bharat Food Check, it may qualify for one of three clearly defined badges, depending on testing outcomes and evaluation criteria.
Each badge communicates a different level of information and assurance to consumers.
- BHARAT FOOD CHECK BADGES
- LAB TESTED
The product was:
- Purchased independently from the open market
- Tested in a NABL-accredited laboratory
- Evaluated against applicable safety or regulatory limits
- Test results are documented and disclosed on the Bharat Food Check platform.
Lab tested products may use the Bharat Food Check Lab tested badge as per usage guidelines.
What it does NOT mean
- It does not mean endorsement
- It does not mean recommendation
- It does not represent all batches or future production
This badge communicates testing transparency, not product superiority.
- RECOMMENDED (Editors’ Choice)
In addition to being lab tested, the product:
- Performs well when compared with similar products
- Offers reasonable value, formulation, or compliance within its category
- Is selected as an Editors’ Choice by the Bharat Food Check team, based on defined internal criteria
This badge reflects an editorial recommendation, not a certification.
- RECOMMENDED (Editors’ Choice)
Usage guidelines for the Recommended badge:
- The Recommended (Editors’ Choice) badge cannot be used on product packaging, labels, or physical packs
- It may be referenced in brand communication, such as:
- Advertisements
- Press releases
- Websites or digital campaigns
Any such reference must clearly state that it is an “Editors’ Choice By Bharat Food Check”, and must not imply certification or regulatory approval.
What it does NOT mean
- It does not imply product perfection
- It does not replace personal dietary or medical advice
- It does not guarantee suitability for every consumer
- It is not a certification badge
This badge communicates editorial judgement, not compliance or endorsement.
- CERTIFIED
The Certified by Bharat Food Check badge represents participation in the Bharat Food Check ongoing verification program, established through a formal agreement with the brand.
Certification indicates that:
- Products are enrolled in a structured ongoing transparency and verification framework
- Product samples may be procured from the open retail market for independent evaluation
- Testing is conducted in NABL-accredited laboratories
- Testing is performed periodically (typically quarterly) to monitor product consistency over time
- Laboratory findings are reviewed by the Bharat Food Check evaluation team
- Evaluation outcomes may be communicated transparently through Bharat Food Check platforms
Unlike a one-time evaluation, the Certified program is designed to assess product consistency across time through repeated independent testing.
Certified products may use the Certified by Bharat Food Check badge in accordance with the official badge usage guidelines.
What it does NOT mean
- It is not a government or regulatory approval
- It does not replace FSSAI licensing or statutory compliance
- It does not guarantee that a product is suitable for every consumer
- It does not imply that uncertified products are unsafe
Certification reflects process assurance and transparency, not perfection.
This badge communicates independent certification based on disclosed testing.
Badges cannot be purchased.
They are issued only after testing, review, and internal evaluation.
